The week the sky changed its mind
Uranus crossed into Gemini on Sunday after seven years in Taurus. Pluto stations retrograde next week. The ground feels different because it is.
Uranus crossed into Gemini on Sunday, the 26th. It had been in Taurus since 2018, slow-rebuilding what we touch and own and call ours. Seven years is a long time to live inside one register. This week opens a new one.
If you woke up Monday with the sense that something had shifted overnight and you could not quite name it, that was not your imagination. That was Uranus changing rooms.
The week ahead, in three movements.
The ground is still loud
The Sun crossed into Taurus a week ago and immediately ran into Pluto, square-on, across the fixed signs. That aspect was exact on Saturday the 25th — meaning whatever pressure has been building in your work, your money, your sense of what you are willing to hold onto, peaked over the weekend and is still echoing.
You may notice it as fatigue. You may notice it as clarity. Both are correct.
Pluto in Aquarius is not subtle. It does not bargain. The Sun-Pluto square asks what part of your structure you are still defending out of habit, and Taurus is the sign that does not want to answer the question.
Uranus into Gemini, the headline
This is the move of the year. Uranus changes signs roughly every seven years, so most of you have only lived through one or two of these in adult memory. The last Uranus-in-Gemini was 1941–1949 — radio, encrypted code, the language of the air. The one before that, 1858–1866 — the telegraph, the first transatlantic cable.
The pattern is consistent. Uranus in Gemini disrupts how information moves.
You will feel it personally before you read about it in the news. The conversations you have been avoiding will want to happen this week. The thing you have been meaning to write, send, post, ask — that is the Uranus pull. Move with it, not against it. Gemini is not a sign that rewards waiting for permission.
A note on its arrival: Uranus enters Gemini at 0°, the first degree. It will retrograde back into Taurus later in the year for a final pass before settling. So this week is the first scent, not the full inhabitation. Treat it that way.
Pluto stations retrograde — May 6
Next Wednesday, Pluto turns retrograde at 5° Aquarius. Until October, the work of restructuring — your authority, your tolerance for power that is not yours, the parts of your life you keep agreeing to even though you have outgrown them — moves inward.
Retrograde Pluto is not a pause. It is a private edit. The decisions you make in this window tend not to announce themselves. They show up months later as the thing you did without ceremony, that turned out to have been the moment everything changed.
This week, the assignment is small. Notice what feels heavier than it should. Notice what feels lighter than you expected. Both are data.
A reminder, since this week is a lot: you do not need to metabolise a sign change in seven days. The sky is not asking you to keep up. It is asking you to be honest about what you are already feeling.
We will be back on Wednesday with a longer piece. In the meantime — drink water, write the thing down, leave space for the conversation you have been postponing. Uranus into Gemini will find it for you anyway.
